We continue to strengthen our commitment to provide a work environment and culture that stimulates creativity, values integrity and encourages professional growth./ppWe are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team:/ppThe Lead Electrical Engineer provides electrical design expertise and leadership for their discipline of a project, from initial survey through final inspection. The Lead Electrical Engineer serves as the electrical discipline team leader for the project, directing other engineers and designers as required and appropriate. Typical duties that the Lead Electrical Engineer may be expected to perform include writing technical reports, conducting surveys, performing calculations, completing power, telemetry, and telecommunications designs, conducting research and development, systems integration, testing, hands-on assembly, and PLC programming./ppMinimum Requirements:/pulliU.S. Citizenship/liliBS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university/lili5-10 years of MEP or similar experience/liliEngineer In Training (EIT) required; or Professional Engineer (PE) with ability to obtain within 1 year/liliActive Secret or Top-Secret security clearance/liliExperience with single- and three-phase power systems/liliExperience with electrical codes and standards/liliExperience conducting field surveys of existing conditions/liliExperience with multi-disciplinary work, both internal and external to the company/liliStrong communications skills, both written and oral/liliProficiency in self-management within a team environment/liliAble to complete project from start to finish with moderate supervisor oversight/liliProficiency with 2D CAD (AutoCAD)/liliProficiency with Microsoft Office suite/li/ulpDesirable Skills/Experience:/pulliArchitecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) design or hands-on engineering experience/liliCritical power system designs involving UPSs, generators, transfer switches, and redundant/fault tolerant topologies/liliExperience with industrial and/or network communications protocols and hardware/liliGeneral knowledge of control systems, including physical design, PLC/HMI programming, and monitoring/telemetry systems/liliExperience with Photovoltaic (PV) and Energy Storage Systems (ESS) design/liliExperience providing technical training and technical writing/liliExperience with SKM (or ETAP)/li/ulpPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:/pulliOversee medium single-discipline engineering projects, or work with a team on large or complex multi-discipline projects./liliCoordinate with internal and external discipline leads, as well as client, construction manager, subcontractor, and vendor interfaces. Provide feedback to project managers and customers to address their problems and needs./liliAssist the project manager and senior engineer with proposal development./liliIdentify non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveys./liliDevelop electrical training presentations and manuals for internal and external use./liliDevelop construction drawing packages and write construction specifications on projects of moderate complexity and with little oversight./liliResearch, design, specify, and evaluate electrical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles./liliAssist with writing performance requirements for product development or engineering projects./liliApply engineering principles and be open to acquiring new skills and knowledge in the field of engineering./liliRead, develop, and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports./liliConduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components, and systems./liliConfer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information./liliInvestigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations for future mitigation strategies or design modifications to eliminate device or system malfunctions./li/ulpAbout EKFox Specialized Design Group:/ppThe Specialized Design Group was formed with the specific objective of addressing the more complex and specialized infrastructure requirements of a select group of confidential clienteles which includes work of national interest.
