Candidates must reside within 50 miles of our Glendale Heights, IL location to be considered for this position./ph2What Youll Do:/h2pPosition Overview:/ppThe primary function of the Senior EOEM Sales Engineer is to market and sell Eatons products and services to obtain orders that are profitable to Eaton. The position is expected to achieve electrical components sales for distribution and controls. This will be expected in the geographic market region consistent with the expectations of seasoned sales professionals. The primary responsibility is to manage the assigned customer base, to increase sales in the local marketplace, application guidance and technical assistance to assigned customers. This position is expected to develop, grow and maintain relationships with Eaton employees, specifiers and customers, including Eaton authorized distributors./ppThe primary functions include understanding Eatons support structure available to sales, including EatonCare; understanding Eaton proprietary systems and software including Bidmanager and VISTA; applying technical knowledge for all products that are involved with the sales assignment; comprehension of project specifications and drawings; ability to gain confidence of customers and become a trusted source of information about Eaton offerings./ppIn this function you will:/pulliDevelop and execute sales plans to meet performance expectations and requirements/liliQuote projects and negotiate correct required pricing/liliPrepare sales presentations to create product understanding and awareness/liliBuild relationships with key customers to enhance long-term business prospects/liliWork with factories to resolve technical issues while working with customers to resolve quality issues/liliCanvas the market to gain insight and adjust to ever changing pricing and delivery requirements/liliAssist team to develop a coordinated sales effort while keeping management informed of market conditions/liliTrack, analyze, and manage sales pipeline to improve WIN rates/liliObtain ongoing training on both functional and technical skills/liliUtilize enterprise tools (Salesforce, SAP, Power BI, Microsoft 365)/li/ulh2Qualifications:/h2pRequired (Basic) Qualifications:/pulliBachelors degree from an accredited institution/liliMinimum three (3) years of electrical industry sales experience/liliPossess a valid drivers license/liliNo relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Glendale Heights, IL to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliBachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/liliStrong knowledge of electrical components, assemblies and control products specifically MCCBs, LV/MV breakers, panelboards, switchboards and switchgear/li/ulh2Skills:/h2pPosition Criteria:/pulliPossess excellent communication skills/liliMust be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future/liliAbility to respond to a variety of circumstances while continuing to demonstrate superior selling skills for important customer services and applications/liliElectrical product knowledge/liliAbility to provide technical solutions built around customer needs/liliSkilled in time management/liliPossess negotiating skills while understanding and using techniques needed to close orders/liliExperience with preparing sales proposals that meet customer expectations/liliRobust presentation
training skills/liliExperience utilizing value-added selling techniques/liliStrong work ethic, competitiveness, willingness to learn and adept at building relationships/liliExperience working with Bidmanager and Vista/liliAbility to travel up to 25%/li/ulpThe compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $101,250 - $148,500.
