divh2Junior Network Engineer/h2pWe are seeking a Junior Network Engineer to join our team supporting Base Infrastructure Modification (BIM). Technology moving at the speed of thought embodies these principles - the need to nimbly utilize the best that information technology offers to meet the business needs of our Federal Government customers./ppWe offer our full-time employees a competitive benefits package to include health, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability plans, vacation time and holidays./ph3Responsibilities/h3pPerform comprehensive network surveys and implementations to support organizational infrastructure needs./ppExecute operations and maintenance tasks for both new and existing Base Area Network (BAN) infrastructure./ppConduct detailed site surveys of communication rooms and document network topology to ensure accuracy and efficiency./ppConfigure basic network equipment in accordance with approved designs and organizational standards./ppSupport physical installations, system migrations, and network upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to operations./ppMonitor network performance, troubleshoot, and resolve Tier 1 issues promptly to maintain optimal functionality./ppCreate and update detailed network diagrams using Visio to accurately reflect current and planned configurations./ppDocument configurations and maintain up-to-date as-built records for all network components./ppAnalyze and map IP addressing schemes to optimize network performance and ensure efficient resource allocation./ppAssist in the optimization of network performance through proactive analysis and recommendations./ppLabel and organize network cabling and equipment to uphold industry standards and maintain orderliness./ppParticipate in maintenance windows and support system upgrades to ensure timely completion and minimal downtime./ph3Required Qualifications/h3pTwo (2) years of relevant networking experience./ppKnowledge of Enterprise LAN technology fundamentals./ppUnderstanding of basic switching and routing protocols./ppExperience with network documentation and diagramming./ppProficiency in network troubleshooting./ppFamiliarity with hardware installation practices./ppProficient in Microsoft Office Suite./ppMust have an active Secret clearance/ph3Certifications/h3pCCNA or equivalent/ph3Preferred Qualifications/h3pExperience with DoD networks./ppKnowledge of user migration processes./ppUnderstanding of basic change management principles./ppAbility to train and mentor team members./ph3Work Environment and Physical Demands/h3pLocation: Bangor, ME, Knoxville, TN, Chattanooga, TN, Pease, NH, Madison, WI, Zanesville, OH, Springfield, OH, Toledo, OH, Columbus, MS, Montgomery, AL, San Antonio, TX, Glendale, AZ, Enid, OK, Battle Creek, MI, Baltimore, MD, Rickenbacker, OH, Milwaukee, WI, Blue Ash, OH, Altus, OK, San Angelo, TX, Alamogordo, NM, Del Rio, TX, Wichita Falls, TX, Biloxi, MS/ppType of environment: Onsite/ppNoise level: Medium/ppWork schedule: Schedule is day shift Monday - Friday.
