This role can be performed by a level 1 or level 2 (entry level or early career). This position is located in Redondo Beach, CA or Rolling Meadows, IL, and will be 100% onsite./ppRoles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:/pulliInstalling, troubleshooting, and maintaining Linux workstations and servers./liliInstalling, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management of systems./liliDeveloping and documenting technical processes and procedures as needed./liliCollaborating with other teams: users, network engineers, cybersecurity and IT management./liliParticipate in special projects and team initiatives/liliReviewing trouble ticket queues to identify issues that need to be addressed./liliWorking through the ticket queue without intervening management direction (self-motivated)./liliEstablishing and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction./liliExhibiting good communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers./liliWork is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy./liliLifting equipment weighing up to 40 pounds./liliAbility to work after hours and weekends as needed./li/ulpNote: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply only if they are willing to work on-site./ppBasic Qualifications for a Level 1:/pulliMust have a relevant Bachelors Degree with 0 years of experience OR an Associates Degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR a High School Diploma with 4 years of relevant experience./liliAcademic Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar./liliMust be able to obtain a DoD 8570 IAM Level 1 certification (CGRC, GSLC, or Security+ CE) within 6 months./liliCandidates must have an active DOD Secret level security clearance/li/ulpBasic Qualifications for a Level 2:/pulliMust have a relevant Masters Degree with 0 years of experience OR relevant Bachelors Degree with 2 years of experience OR an Associates Degree with 4 years of relevant experience OR a High School Diploma with 6 years of relevant experience./lili1 year of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar./liliMust be able to obtain a DoD 8570 IAM Level 1 certification (CGRC, GSLC, or Security+ CE) within 6 months./liliCandidates must have an active DOD Secret level security clearance/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliHave a current DoD 8570 IAM Level 1/liliLinux Certification (ex. RedHat, CompTIA, LPIC, etc.)/liliExperience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments/liliKnowledge of running and remediating Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) findings on RHEL systems/liliKnowledge of Logical Volume Management (LVM) in creating/administrating local storage volumes/liliSupporting RHEL Satellite Server (ex. import/export patches, sync repos)/liliRudimentary Scripting experience with Bash and/or Ansible/liliKnowledge of Windows Active Directory and VMWare ESXi/liliKnowledge of enterprise monitoring tools (Trellix/SolarWinds/Splunk)/li/ulpPrimary Level Salary Range: $66,200.00 - $104,000.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,600.00 - $125,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
