About the Role: The Cybersecurity Engineer plays a vital role in advancing product development security. This position focuses on key areas including Next-Gen Network Architecture, Diagnostics, Autonomous Vehicles, and Offensive Security Analysis. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Conducting assessments on content supporting Ford's diverse product lines. Performing compliance reviews on features, functions, platforms, and modules in line with global cybersecurity requirements and standards such as ISO 21434 / R155. Engineering applicable cybersecurity requirements into the product design and development life cycle from ideation to testing, ensuring all deliverables are met. Reviewing and approving supplier deliverables for cybersecurity requirement compliance. Collaborating with content owners to manage security considerations throughout the development process. Designing features, components, and systems using robust engineering methods, including threat analysis, risk assessments, and security audits. Leveraging global supplier expertise to meet cybersecurity expectations. Developing and delivering risk reviews to management regarding any concerns that remain unmitigated. Supporting a reuse model in the Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS) to streamline efforts across vehicle programs. Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you should have: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience. 5+ years of experience in embedded systems, IoT, or product cybersecurity. Knowledge of cryptographic controls and their applications. Experience in security system engineering, development, and testing. Proficiency in developing and maintaining engineering documentation such as requirements, specifications, and test plans. A self-starter mindset capable of working both independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Bonus Qualifications: Certification in CISSP or Security+. Experience with managing vulnerability assessments. Familiarity with threat modeling using industry standards such as MITRE ATT&CK or STRIDE.
