Due to our continued growth, ENERCON's Nuclear Services Design Instrumentation and Controls Group is excited to announce openings for skilled Physical Security Technicians/Engineers. In this role, you will build valuable relationships with both our internal teams and clients, particularly in the innovative realm of Physical Security, and lead engineering initiatives to develop creative and effective solutions. This position is available in various locations including King of Prussia, PA; Crane Clean Energy Center - Middletown, PA; Remote in Palo, IA; Palisades - Covert, MI; Birmingham, AL; Naperville, IL; and Kennesaw, GA. This role can be Full Time, Part Time, or Contract (LTLB). Your Responsibilities:
As a critical member of our engineering team, you'll collaborate closely with your colleagues and clients to deliver state-of-the-art solutions for Physical Security. You will lead technical discussions, overcome challenges, and ensure that designs meet all essential requirements. Your leadership will keep projects on track as you research potential improvements, recommend innovations, and deliver vital updates to senior management, making a significant impact and fostering strong relationships. Relationship Building & Client Interaction:
Engage with internal engineering teams and external clients to establish robust relationships centered on Physical Security. Interface effectively with site physical security management and engineering stakeholders. Engineering Support & Technical Leadership:
Provide direct engineering support to project teams, ensuring design products meet customer expectations and regulatory standards. Offer technical guidance, review deliverables, and keep senior management informed. Issue Resolution & Quality Assurance:
Manage the resolution of technical and quality issues across disciplines. Research best practices and propose methods for enhancements. Project Planning & Execution:
Oversee the timely execution of assigned engineering activities, coordinating with project engineers and management to provide updates on progress and challenges. Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in design engineering or technician roles. A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field is preferred, while a high school diploma/GED with relevant experience is required. Preference for candidates with experience in AIM or NSMART security platforms. Experience with the design, installation, and testing of major digital control and monitoring system upgrades at power plants is highly desirable. Knowledge of Nuclear plant design and/or field experience is advantageous. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Visio, Access, and PowerPoint is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must for conveying detailed technical information. Familiarity with Physical Security principles, standards, and regulations. Able to conduct walkdowns across multiple areas at a nuclear power plant and provide feedback on discrepancies between actual equipment and plant drawings. Demonstrated leadership in managing multiple tasks and projects effectively at all staff levels. Ability to present effectively to clients. Willingness to travel for client meetings and site walkdowns, approximately 30% of the time. Senior-level candidates should have familiarity with the Standard Design Process and Digital Engineering Guide. Compensation:
The pay range for this position is USD $85,000.00 - USD $165,000.00 per year. About ENERCON:
