What You'll Be Doing: Lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects and a talented team of developers skilled in distributed microservices and full stack systems, focused on creating solutions to meet regulatory requirements.
Stay updated with tech trends, experiment with new technologies, engage in tech communities, mentor fellow engineers, and be prepared to directly contribute code or review others' work when necessary.
Work closely with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance financial empowerment for millions of Americans.
Leverage programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node.js, Go, and Scala, alongside Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, along with container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, and various AWS services.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree
A minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience (excludes internship experience).
At least 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Minimum 4 years of experience in people management.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree
2+ years of experience in Machine Learning.
9+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
7+ years in a people management role.
4+ years of experience utilizing open source frameworks.
3+ years of experience working with AWS.
2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.
Capital One is open to sponsoring qualified applicants for employment authorization for this position. The salary range for this role is as follows: $209,000 - $238,500 for Sales Territory; $229,900 - $262,400 for McLean, VA; $250,800 - $286,200 for New York, NY and San Francisco, CA. Salaries are subject to change based on location, and the specific salary offered will be reflected in the candidate's offer letter. This position also includes eligibility for performance-based incentives, which may involve cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
