Senior Manager of Software Engineering

Key Responsibilities: Lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects alongside a talented team of developers experienced in distributed microservices and full-stack systems, creating solutions that fulfill the company’s regulatory requirements.
Stay abreast of technology trends, explore new ideas, and participate in both internal and external tech communities, while also mentoring fellow engineers and occasionally contributing to coding efforts.
Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans in their financial journeys.
Utilize a variety of programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node.js, Go, and Scala, along with open-source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as container orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, leveraging multiple AWS tools and services.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
A minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience (excluding internships).
At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
A minimum of 4 years of experience in people management.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree.
9+ years of experience in working with programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
3+ years of experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
4+ years of experience in open-source frameworks.
7+ years of people management experience.
2+ years of experience applying Agile methodologies.

This position is located in McLean, VA, with a salary range of $229,900 - $262,400 or in Richmond, VA, with a salary range of $209,000 - $238,500.
