Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team of software engineers. Effectively scope and drive features and products, ensuring timely delivery of updates.
Provide transparency through regular reporting while delivering on results.
Take accountability for the features and products under your ownership.
Develop a deep understanding of your team's software products.
Promote Personal Development Facilitate professional growth for each team member and leverage their unique talents.
Align Goals with Strategy Advise the business on software technology trends and innovative solutions relevant to your domain.
Stay updated on technological advancements to keep our products competitive and marketable.
Be a subject matter expert in your product area.
Utilize strategic thinking to guide your team towards achieving overall product objectives.
Exercise autonomy in deciding objectives and approaches for critical projects.
Foster innovation by exploring creative solutions and considering broader impacts.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field.
4+ years of experience managing software product development teams.
10+ years of software development experience with a proven track record in leading successful engineering teams.
Experience managing remote teams is a plus.
Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, including modern programming languages, object-oriented programming, and distributed systems.
Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to perform under pressure and optimize team resources.
Ability to motivate team members and instill accountability to meet goals.
In-depth knowledge of agile product development methodologies.
Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Compensation We are committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices. This position offers a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives. The expected salary range for this role is between $155,000 and $233,000, based on experience and qualifications.
