Your role and responsibilities As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in linking clients' technical and functional needs to effective solution designs and proposals. Collaborating closely with clients and sales teams, you will help develop solutions that achieve business objectives while adhering to industry best practices. This fast-paced position will require you to design and construct work breakdown structures that lead to pricing and statements of work. Successful candidates are self-motivated problem solvers, skilled in navigating complex challenges to present high-quality solutions that drive exceptional delivery. Your typical activities may include: Providing expert technical guidance throughout discovery discussions with potential clients and assessing their architectural project needs. Leading client workshops and influencing stakeholders to identify optimal architectural solutions that align with their business and technology strategies. Creating and participating in solution review boards, ensuring technology assurance, quality oversight, and risk evaluation. Developing and nurturing professional relationships at all levels, from engineers to C-suite executives, skillfully navigating debates to reach constructive resolutions. This role can be performed from anywhere in the US. Required technical and professional expertise At least 15 years of experience in customer-facing technical roles related to pre-sales or post-sales. Minimum 5 years of leadership experience, including mentoring, coaching, and developing technical teams. 5 years of experience selling professional services, with expertise in scoping large projects and drafting statements of work. Proven success in achieving revenue targets in competitive markets. Experience with solution-oriented selling, adept at managing complex sales processes, and strong organizational and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to independently foster and close new client relationships. In-depth knowledge of Data Engineering, Data Lakehouse, Ingestion and Transformation technologies, with successful sales experience in these domains. Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, including Sales Engineering and Professional Services. Extensive expertise with Snowflake and/or Databricks data platforms. Specialized knowledge of major cloud platforms and their data services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with legacy database technologies (e.g., Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum). Familiarity with non-relational data processing platforms and tools (e.g., Hadoop, HBase). Comprehensive understanding of data analytics workflows, from ETL processes to data platform design and BI tools. Proven track record in successfully selling data and analytics solutions to enterprise clients, with skills in identifying key stakeholders and value propositions.
