We are looking for a dedicated and analytical Data Scientist to harness Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) data from manufacturing environments. Your goal will be to drive operational improvements and create intelligent solutions that enhance our business processes. You will manage the entire data science lifecycle, from data ingestion (using MQTT) and cloud processing (on Google Cloud Platform) to advanced machine learning modeling (using Python and SQL) along with the development of interactive user interfaces and dashboards. If you're passionate about turning complex industrial data into actionable insights for smart factory initiatives, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: Programming & Databases:
Proficient in Python (including Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Dash/Streamlit, Flask/FastAPI) and SQL (advanced querying, optimization, and stored procedures). Cloud Platforms & Big Data:
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools such as BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Dataproc. Data Technologies & Protocols:
Understanding of MQTT, data pipelines (ETL/ELT), cleaning, integration, and mining. Manufacturing & IIoT:
Knowledge of IIoT architectures, the Rockwell Automation ecosystem (including ControlLogix, PLCs, VFDs, and Studio 5000), software for data access, and familiarity with equipment data. Machine Learning & Statistical Analysis:
Skills in quality control, process optimization, time-series analysis, classification, regression, clustering (OPTICS, DBSCAN), statistical modeling, and hypothesis testing. Visualization & UI/Dashboard Development:
Proficiency in dashboarding tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and Python libraries (Dash, Streamlit, Bokeh) along with UI/UX design principles and data storytelling. Software Development & Operations:
Familiarity with version control (Git), agile methodologies, and API development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Science, IT, Statistics, or related disciplines. Strong programming skills in Python, R, SQL, or similar languages. Expertise in machine learning techniques such as predictive modeling, clustering, and regression analysis. Experience handling structured and unstructured datasets for reporting and modeling purposes. Excellent communication skills with the capability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences. A demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
