Summary: Join our dynamic Infrastructure Data Centers team at Meta as a Lead Data Scientist, where you will leverage your analytical skills to transform data into meaningful insights. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, program managers, and other data science professionals, you will drive projects that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on diverse initiatives, including the development of analytics programs, measurement of Machine Learning models, and the design of automation solutions. Key Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define problems, analyze impacts, and identify data-driven opportunities. Transform business challenges into actionable data science problems, designing effective analytics solutions. Uncover operational efficiencies by identifying gaps and building analytical models that support leadership decision-making. Implement statistical models such as hypothesis testing and forecasting to guide critical Data Center operations. Utilize your expertise in statistics and machine learning to develop innovative analytics solutions. Engage closely with stakeholders and engineers to ensure project success. Advise and educate stakeholders on improving operational processes with empathy-driven insights. Recommend data-backed processes to elevate overall business performance. Mentor team members, fostering best practices in data science. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. At least 6 years of experience, including 2+ years post-Ph.D., with advanced SQL in big data environments (e.g., Hive, Presto, Spark). 6+ years of experience managing and analyzing large datasets using Python, R, or similar languages. 6+ years of experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI. Proven ability to analyze data, develop metrics, and make data-driven recommendations. Experience in enhancing data collection and processing methods. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and projects. Strong foundation in machine learning techniques and algorithms. Hands-on programming experience in areas such as AI/ML, LLM, NLP, and statistical modeling. Proficiency in statistical analysis and experimental design. Preferred Qualifications: Technical understanding of data center operations. Master’s degree in a related analytical field. Knowledge of simulation and optimization techniques. Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to influence decision-making across all levels of the organization.
