About the Role Join Cisco's innovative Web Engineering team, a dynamic group collaborating with digital marketing to drive impactful strategies utilizing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). As a DevOps expert, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our web stack across various environments, managing production alongside vendors, and advancing our continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) efforts. You will ensure the quality and reliability of deliverables, embracing the philosophy that if you build it, you run it. Your responsibilities will include close collaboration with internal web engineering, IT, and Security Operations teams to develop and sustain public-facing websites and applications. By leveraging AI-driven observability and assurance tools, you will proactively monitor and enhance web infrastructure performance. Cultivating skills in AI literacy and prompt engineering to work effectively with AI tools integrated into the DevOps workflow is essential for this position. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable thriving in a fast-paced environment. Key Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience; 6+ years as a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer. Technical Skills We Prefer: Proven experience in designing and building systems for websites and applications. Hands-on familiarity with Content Management Systems, particularly Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and WordPress. Proficient in AWS services and tools including EC2, ALB, NLB, VPC, EKS, ECS, Route53, S3, EBS, and EFS, along with tools like Packer, Ansible, Linux, and Docker. Experience with version control systems (e.g., GitLab/GitHub, Bitbucket, SVN) and various build tools. Working knowledge of web servers such as Apache and Nginx. Understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls, and iptables within AWS and Linux platforms. Expertise in configuration management, preferably with Ansible (also Chef, Puppet). Strong background in CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Selenium, and other relevant frameworks. Familiarity with Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) like Akamai or Amazon CloudFront. Knowledge of security and compliance principles, including IAM and cloud auditing tools. AI and Observability Experience: Experience with AI-enhanced observability platforms, such as Splunk Observability Cloud, including skills in AI/ML-driven event correlation and root cause analysis. Basic knowledge of AI/machine learning concepts, including prompt engineering and ethical AI implementation. Experience with utilizing AI in automation for CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure management. Soft Skills: Quick learner with a passion for acquiring new skills and tools. Strong troubleshooting abilities focused on performance and stability issues. Excellent communication skills, thorough documentation practices, and a collaborative approach to peer review. Why Cisco? Salary and Benefits Information: The starting salary range for this position is $183,800 to $263,600. Individual pay is determined based on location, market conditions, and relevant experience.
