Our Ad Platforms team is renowned for its cutting-edge ad technology, and we are looking for a talented Senior Data Scientist to lead our dedicated AI/ML and data science efforts in this domain. In this exciting role, you will spearhead initiatives that impact advertising technology and enhance user experiences. You will design and implement advanced data science solutions that significantly improve ad decision-making, forecasting, and overall performance in our advertising spaces. Key Responsibilities: Drive innovation and apply advanced data science methods to improve various advertising aspects such as inventory forecasting, ad experience, pricing, and efficient delivery.
Transform business inquiries into clear data science frameworks; create data analyses and models to tackle complex ad challenges swiftly.
Define and assess key metrics across product areas to gauge performance effectively.
Provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to stakeholders across teams.
Design and assess A/B tests for machine learning algorithm improvements.
Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders including product managers and engineers in a collaborative environment.
Mentor and support the technical growth of team members.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (MS or PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of relevant industry experience in data science, preferably within leading internet companies and in the advertising sector.
Strong understanding of data science and statistical analysis, along with excellent communication skills and business acumen.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, or R; experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus.
A passion for the advertising business and a drive to apply data science to enhance business effectiveness.
A proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, data-driven, and collaborative work setting.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in digital video advertising or digital marketing.
Familiarity with machine learning models.
Exposure to tools like Airflow, data warehouses, Databricks, or SageMaker.

Seattle, Washington The hiring range for this position in the Los Angeles area is $155,700 - $208,700 per year, and in the Seattle area is $163,100 - $218,700. The actual base pay offered will account for internal equity and may vary based on the candidate's geographic region, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be included as part of the compensation package, along with a comprehensive benefits program.
