Design and implement star schema dimensional models (fact and dimension tables) within SQL Server to fulfill business intelligence and analytics needs. Write and optimize SQL scripts for data operations that include table creation, indexing strategies, and managing slowly changing dimensions. Conduct business analysis and craft ETL code to meet technical specifications and business requirements as per established designs. Develop application systems adhering to standard system development methodologies, ensuring high performance and data integrity. Involve in determining the most suitable programming approaches, tools, and techniques that effectively address business requirements. Offer subject matter expertise in the analysis and preparation of specifications for data process development. Deploy application code and analytical models using CI/CD tools, providing ongoing support for developed data applications and analytical models. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related scientific or quantitative field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing conceptual, physical, and logical data models using enterprise data modeling tools. 5+ years of experience with strategic data planning, governance, and standards. 5+ years of experience in leveraging enterprise data warehouse modeling constructs to create flexible, scalable, and high-performing physical databases. Hands-on experience integrating systems with big data/data lake repositories using ETL tools. Proficiency with technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, Dbeaver, and Visual Studio. Experience in data mining and data warehousing is essential. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and business audiences. Eligibility to secure a U.S. Federal Clearance. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AWS technologies (Glue, Lambda), and familiarity with Git & GitHub. Certification in SQL Server or data management (CDMP, MCSA, etc.). Background in the defense healthcare domain.
