About This Role
Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers. The Network Administrator will be responsible for maintaining our internal network infrastructure, assisting with end devices, supporting advanced greenhouse automation systems, and managing security technologies.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Network & Infrastructure Administration Maintain and troubleshoot local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Monitor network performance, ensure uptime, and implement improvements for scalability and security. Administer NVRs, storage solutions, and backup/DR solutions. Greenhouse Systems Support Assist in the operation and maintenance of automated greenhouse control systems (e.g., climate, irrigation, lighting). Collaborate with greenhouse staff and vendors to optimize performance and resolve issues. Ensure the integration of greenhouse systems with central IT infrastructure and monitoring platforms. Microsoft 365 Administration Work with IT Director to support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, and Entra. Assist in managing user accounts, licenses, security groups, and role-based access. Support migrations, updates, and service health monitoring. Security Systems Oversight Maintain and support physical security systems, including IP-based cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems. Monitor and manage endpoint and network security tools. Support regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with security policies. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all areas of responsibility. Develop and update network diagrams, topology maps, and inventory records. Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with other IT team members, vendors, and others to ensure seamless integration of services. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
User Support Use ticketing system to track and document issues. Participate in on-call rotation to provide support on nights and weekends. Provide excellent service and provide a positive representation of the IT department in all interactions. The Experience You Bring and the Skills we Need:
3+ years of technical support. Strong fundamental understanding of networking best practices, experience with Fortinet firewalls a plus. Able to perform intermediate functions within the Microsoft 365 environment with minimal support. Strong understanding of network security best practices. 2-3 years supporting the Microsoft suite of products. Cannabis software experience a plus, but not required. Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines to resolutions. Ability to prioritize and manage tasks and projects effectively. Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential. Comfortable working in and assisting others through helpdesk software and remote access desktop software. Hands-on experience with installing equipment in network racks. This is a dynamic team, and as such daily tasks may vary, resulting in a fast-paced and lively work environment.
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to sit for long periods of time. Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand and walk. Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Comfortable working in a greenhouse environment (tolerance of heat & humidity). Occasional use of ladders or scissor lifts to access network racks and install cameras or other devices. Why You'd Love This Role
