Heavy Equipment Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our solar construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision in all operations. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and mechanical systems, with the ability to work in dynamic and demanding environments.

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, skid steers, and front loader trucks to perform tasks such as grading, lifting, digging, and material handling
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards
• Assist with site preparation, excavation, backfilling, and material transport across construction sites
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other construction equipment
• Knowledge of mechanical systems related to construction machinery
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred; experience driving front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, or tanker trucks is a plus
• Solar Construction site experience is highly desirable
• Ability to read technical manuals and follow safety instructions diligently
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
• Certification or training in heavy equipment operation is preferred but not mandatory for experienced candidates

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
