CDL Class A Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 1099 Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and excellent driving skills. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and tankers.
• Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling of refrigerated trailers when necessary.
• Follow designated routes for deliveries and pickups while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
• Ensure that all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Proficiency in operating various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and tankers.
• Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation skills.
• Ability to load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and customers.
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate logs and inspections.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
