Field Service Engineer

Our client Rollepaal is looking for a Field Service Engineer in the Atlanta area. Rollepaal is a subsidiary of Hydratec Industries NV, a global leader in pipe extrusion equipment for PVC, PO, multilayer, and PVC-O production, serving key pipe producers in 70 countries.

Rollepaal specializes in the design, manufacturing, and installation of extrusion lines for plastic pipes. They supply machines and complete production lines worldwide, with a focus on sustainability and the use of recycled materials. Their pipe extrusion technology minimizes raw material consumption, contributing globally to access to clean water and sanitation.

About the position

As Field Service Engineer, you are responsible for the day-to-day field service. It is your challenge to ensure a successful completion of service events, installations, corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, and inspections to the local market.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site service activities, including installation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting for extrusion equipment.
• Execute service operations across North America, ensuring timely and effective support for all equipment.
• Conduct inspections and performance testing to assess equipment condition and functionality.
• Provide technical support, including remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Oversee installations and commissioning of new extrusion equipment, ensuring seamless integration into production lines.
• Maintain documentation, including service reports, customer communications, and internal records, ensuring clear and accurate reporting to both the customer and Rollepaal.

Profile

• A completed degree in Mechatronics or Electronics.
• Minimum of 4 years' work experience, preferably as an installation or service engineer.
• Strong technical insight with an affinity for mechanical techniques; experience with (PVC) extrusion is preferred.
• Capable of reading and interpreting prints and 3D models.
• Effective communicator capable of managing and maintaining good internal and customer relationships.
• Excellent analytical skills to quickly diagnose and systematically resolve malfunctions.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, often spending multiple weeks away from home.
• Ability to work independently, with a customer- and results-oriented mindset, while identifying commercial opportunities.
