divh2Cyber Systems Administrator/h2pSerco is seeking a Cyber Systems Administrator to support the 705th CTS Distributed Mission Operations Center Infrastructure Development and Engineering (DMOC-IDE) team at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Cyber System Administrator will operate and maintain systems within the DMOC Battlespace, enabling the customer to develop and integrate technologies to deliver a Live-Virtual-Constructive combat environment for Air Force, Joint and Coalition warfighter training. He/She will maintain the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinate with network administrators, interact with various users, evaluate vendor products, make recommendations to purchase hardware/software, coordinate the installation of hardware/software and provide backup recovery. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space./ppIn this role, you will be responsible for:/pulliMonitoring, controlling and isolating problems in a data communications network/liliActivating and deactivating local computer systems according to scheduled events/liliProviding first and/or second-level problem determination and provide needed support/liliConfigure and support video teleconferencing between network participants/liliInstalling, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware systems, peripherals, and VTC equipment./liliMonitoring system performance and proactively resolving hardware and connectivity issues./liliRecording problems, developing trouble tickets, support System Problem Report analysis, and support LAN/WAN system tests/liliAdhering to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases./li/ululliDocumenting system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and maintenance logs./liliAnalyzing internal and external customer requirements to determine appropriate hardware and software requirements for solutions to problems; often leveraging automated tools/systems./li/ululliCommunicating effectively, at all levels of the organization, with internal and external customers, in written and verbal format./liliCreating and maintaining user and computer accounts and modifying file permissions and security access lists in a Microsoft Active Directory environment./liliDeveloping and documenting technical processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed./liliMaintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, customer, and IT management./liliMaking recommendations on the purchase of hardware, software, and system components./liliPerforming as a Systems Administrator for a hybrid classified environment (i.e., Windows and Linux)./liliWorking closely with DMOC Cybersecurity team to ensure proper patch management and hardening of DMOC Battlespace systems./liliProviding relevant feedback to Cybersecurity team of timeline issues or impediments/liliParticipating in monthly Plan of Action and Milestone reviews (POAM)/liliConfiguring and/or Managing backup and recovery services, managing file systems and disk space, and Managing virus protection on a routine basis./liliRecommending and/or Implementing system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management./liliTesting new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact./li/ululliEvaluating and installing patches and resolving software related problems./liliPerforming system backups and recovery./liliMaintaining data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity/liliLifting and moving hardware and equipment up to 50 lbs./li/ulpTo be successful in this role, you will have:/pulliBachelors degree and 5 years of experience, or Masters degree and three years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 7 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree./liliMust hold DoD 8570/8140 Certification for IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CISSP, CASP, or similar certification)/liliExperience managing Windows Server OS and domain architecture./liliProven ability to work under minimal direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions./liliActive DoD TS Security Clearance, with SCI eligibility/liliUS Citizenship is required for this position/liliAbility to work shift work/li/ulpAdditional desired experience and skills:/pulliPrior administration of virtualization environments using technologies such as ESXi, storage provisioning and networking of virtual systems/liliExperience configuring, administering and maintaining computer systems (Such as: Windows 10, Server 2012R2, Server 2016, Active Directory, RedHat Enterprise Linux)/liliExperience writing standard operating procedure documentation and developing system cold-start documentation/liliExperience maintaining and operating virtual environments for servers and workstations/liliExperience configuring, administering, and maintaining patch deployment and management systems and providing patch management status reporting to management/liliExperience configuring, monitoring, maintaining, and administering computer backup and recovery solutions and providing recovery status reporting to management/liliExperience writing scripts (e.g. Batch, Bash, PowerShell, Python) to automate routine tasks/liliExperience with Windows OS, DIS/HLA Protocol/li/ulpCompany Overview: Serco Inc.
