You will work with engineering teams to design, implement, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and resilient database systems that power our AI-driven platform./ppYour role will involve database tuning, backup and recovery strategies, monitoring, and ensuring data integrity while working with structured and unstructured data sources./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliDesign, implement, and maintain high-performance database systems to support large-scale applications./liliOptimize database queries, indexing strategies, and partitioning to enhance performance./liliMonitor database health, ensuring high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery./liliManage and fine-tune SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB)./liliImplement database security policies, encryption, and access control to protect sensitive data./liliAutomate database backups, replication, and failover mechanisms./liliWork closely with developers to optimize queries, schema design, and data modeling./liliPerform capacity planning and monitor database growth trends./liliEnsure compliance with data governance, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements./liliStay updated with the latest database technologies, trends, and best practices./li/ulh3Requirements/h3ulliAround 4+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) or similar role./liliExpertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, DynamoDB)./liliStrong knowledge of database optimization, indexing, partitioning, and replication./liliExperience in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting slow queries./liliFamiliarity with database backup, recovery, failover, and disaster recovery strategies./liliExperience with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Aurora, Google Cloud Spanner, Azure SQL)./liliKnowledge of scripting for automation (Python, Bash, SQL scripts)./liliUnderstanding of data security best practices, encryption, and compliance requirements./liliExperience working with large, complex datasets and high-traffic applications./liliAbility to work with DevOps teams to integrate databases into CI/CD workflows./li/ulh3What Benefits Are We Offering?/h3ulliApple hardware ecosystem for work./liliAnnual Bonus./liliMedical Insurance (including vision dental)./liliDisability insurance - short and long-term./lili401k up to 4% contribution./liliAir Stipend of $3,120/year, paid over 12 monthly installments (for home office, learning, wellness, etc.)./liliAir Conference 2025 in Las Vegas an opportunity to meet the team, collaborate, and grow together./li/ulh3Diversity Inclusion/h3pAt Air Apps, we are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
