divh2Senior Network Engineer/h2pTwo Six Technologies is seeking a Senior Network Engineer who will be responsible for designing technical solutions for complex problems. The candidate will provide technical oversight of a project solution, including requirement interpretation and allocation of requirements to technical components. He or she will define processes to support the implementation of requirements and ensuring that technical solutions leverage industry best practices, designing for security and excellence while minimizing the total cost of ownership. You will need to be able to define internal and external customer IT infrastructure architecture needs and then design solutions to meet those needs to include: capacity planning, systems configuration and tuning, monitoring backups, and installations of hardware and software. The work will be hybrid, based out of our Laurel, Maryland office./ppWhat You Will Do:/pulliManage and direct internal IT system and personnel/liliLead efforts to ensure that complex systems are ready for use and quick reaction requests are met as needed/liliParticipates in the development and implementation of the network infrastructure in field offices, including physical and logical design of network and telecom infrastructure, analyzing existing network platforms and systems, and recommending solutions./liliProvides technical input in the design, installation, maintenance, and support of network infrastructure/liliSupport tight-looped development and integration production cycles/liliSupport an Elasticsearch cluster/liliProcess and testing automation/liliContinual learning, particularly with respect to cybersecurity principles/liliCollaboration and communication across teams and projects/li/ulpWhat You Will Need To Be Successful:/pulli5+ years of experience configuring, designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN devices/liliThorough understanding of network routing concepts (BGP, IP)/lili5+ years of experience configuring/maintaining Cisco switches (focus on Nexus)/lili5+ years of experience in Networking, Security, Design implementation, and Operational support/liliExperience designing and implementing Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Security Software/liliExperience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, routing and VLANs./liliExperience configuring/maintaining other (non-Cisco) hardware firewall devices such as VyOS/liliExperience with Elasticsearch node setup, configuration and troubleshooting/liliExperience with network monitoring technologies/liliAbility to take ambiguous requirements or problems and convert them into technical solutions/liliAbility to partner with systems administrators, storage administrators, and application developers to solve complex problems/liliComplex problem management research and issue resolution/liliAbility to mentor junior network engineers/liliReviewing and identifying security vulnerabilities and applying remediation/liliUnderstanding of modern software languages and command line interface/liliCommand of scripting languages such as Python and Bash/liliExperience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible and Docker/liliExperience with virtualization environments such as ProxMox and/or VMware/liliEligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance/li/ulpNice To Haves:/pulliExperience with classified lab networks and requirements (SCIF or SAPF)/liliExperience with LDAP/Kerberos authentication protocols/liliCloud experience (AWS, Azure, etc.)/liliSecurity best practices and implementing firewalls and perimeter security measures including VPN technologies/liliContinuous integration, test automation and/or SecDevOps on iterative development projects/li/ulpSecurity Clearance:/pulliEligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance/li/ulpSalary Range $125,000 - $175,000 USD/p/div
