Overview: Aquarian Systems is seeking a high-level Senior Network Engineer to join our team supporting the Department of State's Communication Security Division. This position will focus on engineering, implementing, and supporting encrypted classified networks critical to U.S. national security.
Responsibilities: -Design, configure, and maintain secure network architectures supporting classified and encrypted communications. -Integrate, troubleshoot, and optimize encryption devices (e.g., Type 1 KG encryptors, IPsec, VPNs, etc.). -Collaborate with federal stakeholders and internal technical teams to ensure compliance with CNSS, NSA, and Department of State standards. -Conduct risk assessments, implement security controls, and support continuous monitoring for classified network environments. -Document network architectures, processes, and incident responses. -Serve as a senior technical advisor on secure network design and emerging threats.
Requirements: -Active TS security clearance (no exceptions). -7+ years of experience in network engineering, with significant time supporting classified/secure environments. -Deep understanding of secure WAN/LAN architectures. -Experience working with federal agencies or the Department of State preferred. -Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. -Professional certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent strongly preferred.
