Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Charlotte
Role Overview: As a DevOps Engineer you will play a crucial role in optimizing software development lifecycle and ensuring the reliability and scalability of client's infrastructure. Need to work closely with client's development and operations teams to implement best practices for continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure automation.
This role requires expertise in Terraform, AWS and Kubernetes, as well as strong scripting and automation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform for provisioning and managing AWS resources.
Configure and manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and deployment.
Utilize JFrog Artifactory for artifact management and repository hosting.
Build and manage Docker containers for application deployment and microservices architecture.
Integrate and manage build tools such as Maven and Gradle for Java projects.
Incorporate npm builds for JavaScript projects into the CI/CD pipeline.
Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, reliability, and scalability issues using Datadog for monitoring and logging.
Implement backup and recovery solutions using Clumio or similar tools.
Integrate and manage authentication and authorization services like Auth0.
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement DevOps best practices and standards.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
X years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, etc.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and configuration management.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
Familiarity with JFrog Artifactory for artifact management and repository hosting.
Experience with build tools such as Maven and Gradle for Java projects.
Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
Experience using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Datadog.
Experience with backup and recovery solutions like Clumio is a plus.
Familiarity with authentication and authorization services like Auth0 is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
AWS and Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
Need to be passionate about DevOps and have a strong background in AWS and Kubernetes.
Must Have Experience: Expertise in networking, autoscaling, cost optimization, and disaster recovery is a must along with the stated technologies . Experience in independently managing AWS accounts and production setups.
