Job Description and Requirements As a Software Engineering Manager in Engineering Systems, you will: Lead an internal platform team that empowers Relativity developers to create high-value products.
Develop and manage a high-performing team of software engineers.
Act as a subject matter expert for the product features your team is responsible for.
Make key decisions regarding your team's operations and objectives.
Receive mentorship and coaching from leadership to enhance your success.
Key Responsibilities Include: People & Performance Management Oversee an agile scrum team, ensuring its success by applying Agile principles.
Promote a high-performance culture and implement cost-effective practices.
Strategically allocate team members' efforts based on organizational requirements.
Enhance organizational efficiency through industry best practices for SaaS products.
Conduct regular 1:1 meetings to support your direct reports.
Encourage knowledge-sharing across the team.
Provide technical leadership within your team's domain.
Guide employees in their career development and future opportunities.
Manage the team's workload, hiring, and performance evaluations.
Technology & Strategy Leadership Act as a technology advisor, staying informed about industry trends.
Contribute hands-on to software design, development, and integration.
Work with lead engineers and architects to create effective solutions.
Develop a strategic vision for your team's domain to achieve operational excellence.
Implement policies and drive process improvements.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
Over 4 years managing software development teams.
Over 10 years of experience in commercial-grade software development.
Experience leading remote teams effectively.
Strong understanding of modern programming languages and object-oriented programming.
Experience with high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
Familiarity with cloud environments (SaaS, PaaS).
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.).
Adept at motivating teams and enhancing efficiency under pressure.
Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Proficient with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar automation tools.
A track record of successfully leading SaaS or PaaS products.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
Relativity is dedicated to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices. This position includes a total compensation package encompassing a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives. The expected salary range for this role is between: $155,000 and $233,000. The final offered salary will depend on various factors including the candidate's experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Generally, hiring at the high end of the range is uncommon to allow space for meaningful future salary growth in this role.
