Position Overview: Lead a high-performing accounting, financial reporting, and analytics team supporting laboratory operations. Own metrics reporting, process improvement, pricing and contract analysis, profitability analysis, and ad hoc financial projects. Partner closely with sales, operations, corporate, and field teams, and present insights to senior leadership. Report directly to the Director, Finance. Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 days remote per week; flexibility per business needs). Key Responsibilities:
Manage the DeLand-based accounting, financial reporting, and data analytics team. Coordinate and review month-end close processes. Gather, present, and clearly explain operational and financial metrics to leadership. Construct presentation-ready decks and analyses for senior leadership. Analyze, evaluate, and recommend actions to improve operational performance and efficiency. Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate pricing, profitability, operational capacity, and performance. Respond to ad hoc financial and operational analysis requests from cross-functional stakeholders. Gain a detailed understanding of internal stakeholder and customer needs and allocate analytics resources to build appropriate solutions. Lead and support complex, cross-functional process improvement initiatives. Delegate, prioritize, and track requests and projects for the analytics team. Ensure high quality, accuracy, and consistency of all analytical output and reports. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum 2 years of management experience leading teams. Extensive experience with financial systems and financial reporting. Strong business process analysis and data analysis skills. Proven ability to create complex financial models for profitability, pricing, and operational analytics. Proficiency with report writing software such as COGNOS or Crystal Reports. Intermediate-level SQL query writing skills. Solid understanding of relational database concepts. Advanced computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Preferred Qualifications:
MBA, CPA, or MAcc (CPA license strongly preferred). Six Sigma experience and training. Prior experience in healthcare or laboratory services environments. Behavioral and Leadership Competencies:
Strong people leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team. Ability to delegate effectively while maintaining accountability and quality. Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior leadership audiences. High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity. Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization. Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority. Comfort working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment with shifting priorities.
