Job Duties:
The Solution Architect is responsible for the full application architecture and development lifecycle process that translates business requirements into functioning software systems, services, and solutions within a specific domain or application portfolio. This role requires expertise in full stack application development, database design, and systems implementation as this role is responsible for crafting technical solutions to address complex business needs. The Solution Architect will collaborate with business and engineering stakeholders to translate business requirements into detailed functional, technical, and design specifications for development teams. Drive full stack solution design based on industry best practices such as microservices, streaming technologies, and event driven architectures that support modular, decoupled and integrated designs. Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation that aids in sustaining system integrity and facilitate knowledge sharing. Deep understanding of microservices architecture, cloud computing, and non-functional aspects of software architecture. Lead identification and implementation of software patterns and artifacts (reference architecture, libraries and reusable framework) for common use cases and evangelize effective pattern utilization during software development to uphold sound architectural principles and good design practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to advise on engineering topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Mentor and coach software developers on system design, code quality, and maintainability Driving the end-to-end design and development of scalable, secure, and modern software solutions across cloud and enterprise environments. This position requires deep technical expertise in full stack development, microservices architecture, and AWS Cloud, along with strong experience in system integration, API design, and enterprise compliance. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable designing solutions and writing code hands-on. Architect and design end-to-end software solutions leveraging microservices, event-driven, and API-first architectures. Translate business requirements into technical design documents, architecture blueprints, and integration specifications. Lead hands-on development efforts using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud-native services on AWS. Design and implement system integrations between applications, services, and third-party systems. Define and enforce software architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices across teams. Mentor and guide developers on code quality, system design, and architecture governance. Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and reusable reference frameworks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security, scalability, and compliance of deployed solutions. Partner with enterprise architects to align solutions with broader organizational standards. Part of core shared services team. Need to do the coding, hands on development ( Java springboot, microservices) Requirements:
Bachelor's in computer science required; Masters preferred AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect). Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS - Must Haves) Experience with system integration and APIs, need to do the coding whenever required and will be part of hands on development ( Java spring boot, microservices) Full Stack Solution Architect would be required. 10 Years total exp, 6 years around on Full Stack and 4+ years recent experience with Architect. Understanding of enterprise architecture and compliance standards, they will be a part of core shared services team. Knowledge of networking, security, and data management Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Familiarity with DevOps and agile methodologies Problem-solving and analytical thinking Must possess deep technical expertise in distributed computing, cloud architecture, data/database design, and web application development, with experience in application portfolio management. A background in financial systems and relevant application or domain expertise is preferred but not mandatory. Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. Proficiency in AWS Cloud (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, etc.). Solid understanding of software design patterns, system integration, and API development. Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles, compliance, and security standards. Exposure to data modeling, event streaming, or serverless architectures. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Seamlessly shift between high-level system design and hands-on coding. Deep cloud expertise, strong full-stack skills, and a passion for building modern, scalable, and secure applications. Thrives in collaborative, enterprise-scale environments and acts as a mentor and technical leader within the engineering organization.

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
