As a
Senior Network Solutions Engineer , you will play a key role in designing and executing complex network projects. You will provide technical leadership within the Network Engineering team and proactively recommend and implement changes to enhance our network performance. This role involves working on various initiatives as directed by IT leadership. This position is hybrid (Monday through Thursday on-site, Friday remote) located at the UMB Technology & Operations Center in downtown Kansas City, MO. Your contributions will include: Designing and implementing complex network projects for UMB and its customers, showcasing your technical leadership. Proactively identifying areas for optimization and implementing changes to ensure peak network performance. Overseeing the design and performance of the WAN/LAN Data and Voice networks. Conducting feasibility studies and assessing vendor products and services for network hardware and software. Providing support, guidance, and training to Network Services and other technical teams. Offering design input for developing, implementing, and testing a disaster recovery plan focused on data communications needs. Collaborating with the Network Support team to ensure a smooth transition of equipment and environments to production. We're eager to connect if you possess: A minimum of 5 years in network operations, specifically within Cisco and Juniper environments, along with experience in Cisco Nexus 7k/9k technologies. Advanced knowledge in the following areas: TCP/IP and associated internet technologies. Network connectivity support (LAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP). Cisco and Juniper routers, network switches, and proficiency with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and ACI datacenter fabric. Digital communications circuits, data communications routers, CSU/DSU switches, and telephony. Network monitoring and management platforms, including SevOne, CiscoWorks, and Netscout. Bonus Points If You Have: A Cisco or Juniper certification at the Associate (JNCIA, CCNA) or Professional (JNCIS, CCNP) level. Experience in any of the following areas: SD-WAN deployments. Utilizing Python for automation. WiFi technology. Network monitoring and management platforms (e.g., Cisco Identity Services Engine, SNMP/Netflow-based monitoring tools). Understanding of F5 Big-IP LTM and GTM load balancing platforms. Experience in the banking or financial services industry. Applicants must have the legal authority to work in the United States. Compensation Range: $69,230.00 - $149,000.00 The posted compensation range reflects UMB's standard for this position; actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
