Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required
Advanced education, including a bachelor's or higher is preferred
A minimum of 5 years' experience in Information Technology or equivalent experience in business- or job-related role. A minimum of 3 years management experience is preferred. Experience in Healthcare IT management is preferred.
Responsibilities:
The Desktop Support Manager must demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to mentor, coach, and develop technical staff while managing performance and succession planning. A solid understanding of ITIL principles and IT Service Management practices is essential, with proven experience in incident, problem, and change management workflows and adherence to service-level agreements. The role requires expertise in hardware and software lifecycle processes, encompassing procurement, deployment, patching, and secure disposal, as well as the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
Technical proficiency is critical, with advanced knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Intune, endpoint management, printing, peripherals, and remote support tools. Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, Network+, and ITIL 4 Foundation, along with healthcare privacy and security training. Experience with tools such as ServiceDesk Plus, Endpoint Central/Intune, Citrix Workspace, Oracle/PowerChart, and Microsoft 365 is highly desirable. Familiarity with clinical workflows and applications, including EHR and PACS systems, is a strong advantage. Excellent communication, customer service, and incident leadership skills are required to ensure seamless support in a regulated healthcare environment.
Under the direction of an IS or matrix VP, or Director, the IS Desktop Support Manager will assume responsibility for all privacy, security, administrative, and operational duties as assigned.
