Job Description:
The Network Administrator plays a vital role in keeping our customers' IT infrastructure secure, efficient, and connected. This position is responsible for administrating network maintenance, network security, devices, software and hardware related to the Local Area Network and Wide Area Network connecting to the network.
The Network Administrator will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. From safeguarding systems with top-tier security measures to overseeing network upgrades and empowering users through training, this position goes far beyond IT support, it's the central link that holds our operations together. Success in this role requires deep technical knowledge across a wide range of hardware, software, and systems, enabling the administrator to propel our organization into the future.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Network Setup & Maintenance
Install, configure, and manage network hardware (routers, switches, access points, firewalls) Maintain LANs, WANs, VPNs, and other network segments Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity operations
Security & Access Control
Implement and manage firewalls, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection systems Control user access, authentication, and permissions Conduct regular security audits and apply patches Participating in Cyber Security Projects and Initiatives
Troubleshooting & Support
Diagnose/resolve network & helpdesk issues Provide technical support to users and IT teams Maintain documentation of network configurations, diagrams and incidents
Performance Optimization
Analyze traffic and usage patterns to improve efficiency Upgrade systems and recommend improvements
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate records of network infrastructure and changes Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards Assist in planning for network expansion and scalability
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
4 or more years of experience in a network administrator role Experience with Arista Switches, Aruba, Fortinet, SolarWinds, etc. Proven skills in network operations and performance analysis Strong communication skills for training and assisting users
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
FortiNet Certified Associate or higher 4 year degree in Information Technology Arista ACE Level 2 or higher ArubaOS

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB INFORMATION:
The Information Technology Department operates as a service-driven team dedicated to supporting the IT infrastructure and the users across all companies. Associates in this department must demonstrate both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and professionally. A proactive, hands-on approach is essential, as is working alongside others to meet user's needs. This position must be engaged and involved in supporting the company after hours, such as production down, shipment impacting issues; upgrades and maintenance as assigned.
Physical Requirements: The physical requirements for this office role include the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, typically up to 8 hours a day, and regularly operate standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Employees should be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally and frequently perform tasks that require typing, writing, and document handling. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with adequate visual and auditory abilities to read materials and participate in meetings.
