The Solutions Architect shapes application technologies through the application build, enhancement delivery, and system architecture and design process, facilitating the design, build, and implementation of a wide scope of clinical and/or business application systems. This role serves the project team as a mentor and technical guide in the productive application of technology frameworks, standards, programming languages, and software development patterns and practices. In addition to casting technical vision, the Solutions Architect leads by example and contributes in a hands-on manner to put concepts into action. This forward-looking role leads the design, development, and implementation of clinical and/or business systems that advance the strategic goals of the enterprise. The Solutions Architect must comprehend the strategic plan and cast a vision for the application team to achieve established goals. Responsibilities
The Solutions Architect responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Mentors, trains, and directs the actions of junior team members. * Employs information system life cycle and other tools to analyze data and systems requirements. * Leads and coordinates the design, development and implementation of clinical application technology solutions. * Leads implementations, upgrades, disaster recovery, and conversion projects. * Analyzes problems, requested changes, and required modifications to develop appropriate business process solutions. * Works in multiple specialty areas, interacting with customers regarding system design strategy and implementation solutions. * Leads implementations, upgrades, and conversion projects. * Participates in establishing appropriate testing criteria for information systems. * Reads, analyzes and interprets business requirements, system documentation, and technical procedures. * Responsible for root cause analysis on all issues impacting performance or availability of assigned apps. * Responsible and accountable for creation, maintenance, and understanding of as-built architecture for service line solutions supported. The Solutions Architect reports to the department Manager or Director. This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. When working in clinical areas, potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, and chemicals. Must follow standard precautions. Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in related field with 4 years of relevant experience, or Associates degree in related field with 6 years of relevant experience, or equivalent hours of college credit for an Associates degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of relevant experience. * Previous experience with software used in a financial, clinical or large enterprise systems setting. * ITIL Certification within 6 months of hire. * Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written) Epic Solutions Architect: * Current Epic certification and 3 years of experience in implementation, configuration, and upgrades. * Multiple Epic certifications and graduate program preferred. ERP Solutions Architect: * Experience must include Retail Point of Sales, ERP, CRM, programming, business analysis or other related IT function (2 additional years of experience may be substituted for degree in non-related field). * Three years previous work experience with finance, supply chain, and human resources business practices and systems. * PeopleSoft certified specialist, Expert level certification, or equivalent certification relevant to ERP. Imaging Solutions Architect: * Three years previous work experience with Radiology PACS\RIS, financial document imaging, or medical records scanning and imaging. * Must have current certification in one of the following: AGFA PACS, OnBase, Teremedica, or equivalent imaging solution still relevant to conducting business. Integration Solutions Architect: * Three years previous work experience with HL7 Interface Engines, data exchange, and data format conversion. * Must have current certification in one of the following: Epic Bridges or Orion Rhapsody. * Previous work experience with secure file transmission and appropriate PHI/PII data storage. Software Development Architect: * Previous work experience should include working with Object Oriented Analysis, design, either C# or Java, diagramming systems using UML, applying agile engineering practices in a team environment, and designing highly available web based and distributed systems. * Minimum of 2 years previous work experience with software design, integration, and user interface design patterns. * Previous experience designing for web and mobile technology security requirements preferred. * Previous work experience with at least one major mobile development platform preferred (e.g. Android, IOS, Blackberry, etc.) In applicable departments: * Must possess and maintain active licensure in accordance with Oklahoma State Law.
