Summary: Meta is on the lookout for a passionate and seasoned Software Engineering Manager to join our innovative team. In this role, you will support, enable, and empower your talented engineering team, guiding high-performing engineers to make a significant impact on billions of lives globally. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will leverage your robust technical expertise while taking on increasing management responsibilities. Responsibilities: Lead and manage a skilled team of software engineers to deliver exceptional products and solutions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to spur technical innovation.
Develop and deploy technical strategies that align with our business goals.
Encourage a culture of continuous learning, growth, and improvement within the team.
Minimum Qualifications: 8+ years of software engineering experience or a PhD with 4 years of related work, including hands-on technical management.
Proven experience in recruiting, structuring, and leading technical teams, with a focus on performance management.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in supporting, coaching, mentoring, and developing software engineers.
At least 2 years of experience managing a diverse team of engineers.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in leading teams focused on high-performance computing (HPC) and AI/ML systems, including GPU/ASIC kernel development and optimization.
Knowledge in developing and optimizing accelerator (GPU/ASIC) kernels.
Familiarity with accelerating libraries on AI hardware, such as cuBLAS, cuDNN, and ROCm.
Experience with programming models for high-performance computations, like GPU CUDA, OpenCL, or OpenMP.
Solid understanding of hardware architectures (Intel SIMD, GPU, RISC-V, AI Accelerators).
Experience in hardware-software environments such as simulators and FPGA emulators.
Knowledge of ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and ONNX.
Public Compensation: $184,000/year to $257,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits Industry:
