Project Vedo , an end-to-end visualization platform that enhances GM's digital experiences, including authoring tools for artists, a publishing pipeline, and asset delivery across GM's ecosystem. About the Team The
Consumer Asset Visualization (CAV)
team manages Vedo's delivery layer, integrating immersive experiences into websites, mobile apps, in-vehicle systems, smartwatches, and VR headsets. Our objective is to provide consistent, high-quality experiences across all devices, operating systems, and network conditions. Key Responsibilities Strategy and Execution Lead the technical strategy and execution for cross-platform integration, SDKs, runtimes, and delivery APIs that power Vedo experiences. Build strong partnerships across GM engineering and brand teams to align roadmaps and drive Vedo's adoption. Ensure observability and reliability for CAV integrations, focusing on scalability, compliance, and performance. Collaborate with Security, Privacy, and Brand Marketing to create secure, performant, and consistent multi-surface experiences. Team Leadership and Growth Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers to foster technical excellence and growth. Promote a collaborative, high-performing culture centered on learning and innovation. Enhance communication and alignment among engineering, product, and design teams. Identify and implement productivity and process improvements across the development lifecycle. Product and Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with product and design teams to define and deliver impactful features for creators. Engage with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives aligning with strategic goals. Effectively communicate technical trade-offs and insights to leadership. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2+ years in an engineering management role. Experience in building cross-platform client libraries for web, mobile, and embedded environments. Expertise in software architecture, scalability, and performance optimization. Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, and performance profiling in complex systems. Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, and drive team-wide initiatives. What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications) Proficiency in modern C++, Java, Kotlin, or TypeScript/JavaScript, with experience in building SDKs for multi-platform delivery. Experience with 3D engines or frameworks (Unreal, Unity, WebGL, Three.js, Babylon.js, OpenUSD, Material X or equivalent). Understanding of graphics pipelines, including materials, shaders, and asset streaming. Proficiency in API design and integration (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC). Strong knowledge of algorithm design and optimization techniques for high-performance rendering. Why Join Us? Impact:

Following the successful completion of a motor vehicle report review, you may participate in a company vehicle evaluation program and be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate.
