In this role, you will lead the development of our 3D Maps, which enhance the spatial and location awareness of Meta's Wearables and VR devices. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of software engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical innovation and foster a creative work environment.
Develop and implement technical strategies that align with business objectives.
Create an environment centered on continuous learning, growth, and improvement for your team.
Minimum Qualifications: 8+ years of software engineering experience, or a PhD with 4 years of relevant experience, including hands-on technical management.
Proven experience in recruiting, building, structuring, and leading technical teams, including performance management.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Strong experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing software engineers.
Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team of engineers with diverse skill sets.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience overseeing teams that have productized Computer Vision or AI/Machine Learning technologies from concept to realization.
Technical expertise in leading projects in machine perception fields, including machine vision, deep learning, sensors, and robotics.
Experience working with hardware teams to set requirements and navigate product trade-offs.
Experience in managing joint hardware-software development projects and rapid prototyping initiatives.
Advanced degrees or relevant experience in areas like Simultaneous Localization and Mapping, 3D reconstruction, depth sensing, Bayesian filtering, information theory, or 3D geometry.
Compensation: $184,000/year to $257,000/year plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Industry:
