Overview
You\'ll be a leader when on a project, which could be from a range of sectors including finance, retail, hospitality, health or sports. Your week could include day-to-day development work, mentoring others or liaising with non-developers such as design, product owners or even the sales team. While no two project teams work identically for those experienced with Agile methodologies, and Scrum more specifically, you\'ll be familiar with many of the activities that take place. Responsibilities
Lead project teams on agile projects across sectors (finance, retail, hospitality, health or sports), coordinating day-to-day development work, mentoring others, and liaising with design, product owners, and sales teams. Meet with your team daily to discuss tasks, support needs, and areas where you can support others. Facilitate the refinement of upcoming work in collaboration with developers, testers, designers, and product owners to ensure everyone understands what needs to be done and how. Take a leading role in sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews, as appropriate. Deliver tasks to specification in a maintainable and readable way, having helped pioneer the architecture and implementation for the scenario yourself. Coach and mentor others on the project to ensure timely delivery and required quality, and work with the client, product owner and designers to flesh out emerging requirements. On non-project days, support the business in bringing in new work through bids, proposals, and estimation. Press the new project button, set up projects from scratch, including CI/CD pipelines, establish architectural principles and design patterns, and submit apps to the respective app stores. Ensure project and organisational standards and practices are carried out by other team members. Facilitate discussions around technologies and systems, including those you aren’t initially familiar with. Ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification and are easily understood by others so developers can be onboarded and the project handed over when necessary. Support and Collaboration
Proactively coaching and mentoring other members of your team. Regularly facilitating and taking a leading role in project ceremonies such as refinement, planning, retrospectives and sprint reviews. Making sure others in the team understand the dependencies and risks with their work. Facilitating discussions with multiple disciplines across a project team, such as design and project management. Aware of how technical decisions impact budget, timelines and risk. Maintaining a healthy client relationship through clear communication and facilitating effective client decision-making.
