We move fast, problem-solve constantly, and maintain a high standard of professionalism while creating a smooth experience for agents and sellers.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We're looking for a confident, thoughtful, highly conversational Business Development Representative to expand our realtor network, build real relationships, and consistently generate qualified consultations and office meetings.

You'll start with outbound outreach—primarily phone, text, and email—then grow into a client-facing role. Over time, you'll conduct in-home consultations and represent HOMEstretch at brokerage presentations, team meetings, and industry events.

This is a great fit for someone who genuinely enjoys people, listens first, thinks on their feet, and thrives in a fast, entrepreneurial environment where wins come from initiative and follow-through.

As a growing start-up, we sometimes wear multiple hats. While your focus is business development, there may be occasional short bursts during peak periods or team coverage needs where you support light project-management tasks. These moments are infrequent, but flexibility and a team-first mindset matter here.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Outbound Business Development

  • Make consistent outbound calls to realtors, teams, and brokerages.

  • Hold natural, thoughtful conversations (not script-reading) that uncover needs and opportunities.

  • Actively listen to agents' challenges and articulate how HOMEstretch can solve them.

  • Schedule qualified consultations, office presentations

  • Log conversations, insights, and follow-ups in our CRM.

2. Realtor Relationship Building

  • Build long-term rapport with agents across Central Ohio.

  • Follow up thoughtfully after consultations or completed projects.

  • Maintain warm relationships with agents preparing to list homes soon.

3. In-Person Brand Representation (Growth Path)

As the role develops, you will begin:

  • Attending and presenting at brokerage team meetings.

  • Going onsite to conduct consultations at homes.

  • Sending quotes and following up to win deals.

  • Representing the HOMEstretch brand with professionalism and warmth in every client interaction.

4. Event-Based Outreach

  • Attend local Columbus real estate networking events as needed

  • Meet agents, spark conversations, and capture follow-up actions.

  • Maintain a polished, confident presence on behalf of the brand.

5. Marketing & Collaboration

  • Provide feedback on messaging, positioning, and what resonates during calls.

  • Collaborate with Owner and Project Manager to refine outreach, follow-up cadence, and talking points.

  • Assist with light marketing tasks (emails, call sequences, lists, etc.).

6. Administrative & Pipeline Management

  • Keep CRM clean and updated with notes, leads, and touchpoints.

  • Track outreach numbers, booked meetings, and conversion metrics.

  • Flag urgent opportunities (hot listings, distressed properties, investor flips, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS

We are flexible on specific background—sales experience is welcome but not required.

  • Is organized and able to juggle multiple follow-ups

  • Learns tech systems quickly (CRM, dialer software, Google Workspace)

  • Is located in Central Ohio and comfortable going onsite

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base salary

  • Bonus + commission opportunities for office meetings booked and qualified consultations scheduled

  • Paid time off

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
