QC Inspector

We are currently seeking to fill the following position for our Buffalo location.

QC Inspector

We are looking for a highly motivated, well organized, team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. High degree of ownership, and desire to make those around you better.

Primary Job Functions:

• Inspect various mechanical parts utilizing traditional precision measuring tools/equipment, optical, layout, visual, CMM, Romer Arm, Laser Tracker
• Maintain proper documentation including lot history reports, nonconforming materials reports, returns and inspection logs, NCR's.
• Maintain and log calibration of all inspection tools.
• Adherence to company policies and ISO Standards
• Provide assistance in all departments as required by KTC management.
• OT and travel may be required.
• Must be able to follow 6s, quality and safety standards.

Skills Required

• Fluent with precision measuring equipment including, but not limited to micrometers, calipers, gauges and profilometers.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Knowledge of CMM operation PC-DMIS metrology Software experience a preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiar with calibration process
• Has the knowledge and capability to read and interpret blueprints, written requirements and specifications, process properly and enter information into the network project folders.
• Excellent oral and communication skills
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Attention to detail, self-motivated and creative problem-solving skills.

Experience: Minimum 2+ years' experience inspecting metal materials and assemblies to close tolerances.

Education: Minimum high school/trade school graduation required
