Currently we are looking for a Network Engineer to join our group. The Network Engineer will monitor and secure the DoD networks, fixes outages, enforces security standards, and supports both classified and unclassified environments — including routers, switches and encryption devices.

ROLE:

· Monitor data or infrastructure system networks for various messages, alarms, or issues.

· Identify issues or problems and resolves as appropriate.

· Troubleshoot problems using scripts and standard, routine procedures.

· Interface with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.

· Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI's) as directed by management.

· Maintain required security posture on all network equipment in accordance with DoD and local command mandates and requirements, including updates, STIGs, IOS upgrades, and other basic network security requirements.

SKILLS NEEDED:

· Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.

· Currently possess an Active DoD Secret security clearance and CompTIA Security

· Active CCNA Certification or CCNP

· Expert knowledge with LAN switching, including Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP), Port Security, Spanning Tree, and Layer 2 and 3 switching configurations.

· Expert knowledge with Layer 3 routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, etc.) and best practices on implementation.

· Expert knowledge with L1/L2 network troubleshooting (Unclassified and Classified

· Experienced with programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting encryption devices at network points of presence.

Pay: $87, $140,000.00 per year
