Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Starlink Internet Installation Technician to join our dynamic field service team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting high-speed internet services, including fiber optic and Ethernet networks, directly at customer locations. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity for residential and commercial clients by performing precise cable terminations, fiber splicing, and network setup. Duties

• Install and configure fiber optic cables, Ethernet wiring, and telecommunication equipment at customer sites to ensure optimal network performance
• Perform fiber splicing with precision to connect fiber lines securely and efficiently
• Set up and troubleshoot Starlink routers, switches, and other networking hardware to establish stable internet connections
• Conduct cabling work including low voltage wiring, telephony lines, and mechanical cable management to maintain organized setups
• Use hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, and ohmmeters to test electrical continuity and ensure proper connections
• Diagnose network issues using electrical experience and testing devices; resolve problems swiftly to minimize downtime
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding installation procedures, troubleshooting steps, and maintenance tips

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a service technician or in a field service role within telecommunication or networking industries
• Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, telephony systems, and low voltage wiring
• Skilled in fiber splicing techniques with hands-on experience in fiber optic installation projects
• Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, and network configuration tools
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to handle hand tools safely and effectively during installations
• Electrical experience or background in electrical systems is highly desirable
• Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to troubleshooting network issues
