Quality Manager
The Quality Manager will be responsible for leading, developing, and maintaining the company's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements. This role provides strategic and operational oversight of quality assurance activities, including audits, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager will work cross-functionally to drive quality excellence, reduce risk, and ensure consistent product and process performance across the organization. This position would require some light travel to our Salisbury, MD location.
Duties to include:
- Oversee and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other applicable standards
- Lead internal, customer, and regulatory audits and manage corrective action responses
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality policies, procedures, and training programs
- Manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), root cause analysis, and effectiveness verification
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams to resolve quality issues
- Monitor key quality metrics and analyze trends to drive continuous improvement
- Report quality performance, risks, and improvement initiatives to senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and contractual quality obligations
- Lead and mentor quality assurance personnel to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Support supplier quality management and performance evaluation as required
- Drive process improvement initiative to enhance product quality, efficiency, and compliance
- Undertake additional duties as assigned
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field required
- 5+ years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and regulatory compliance requirements Proven leadership, team management, and mentoring experience
- Proficiency with quality tools and methodologies (root cause analysis, corrective actions, continuous improvement)
- Experience with ERP systems and quality management software preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Preferred: Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar certification
- Preferred: experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or interconnect manufacturing
Compensation: $85,000- $100,000 commensurate with education and experience
