About the Role
Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. seeks a dynamic, organized, and hospitality-driven Part-Time Events Department Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events across our taprooms and partner venues. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and loves bringing memorable experiences to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and execute taproom events, brewery events, off-site events, and community activations.
- Oversee event timelines, logistics, vendor communication, staffing needs, and onsite management.
- Ensure all events align with the FMB brand, culture, and business goals.
- Work directly with taproom managers and marketing to create cohesive event programming.
- Large company events include but not limited to Lagerville, Anniversary, Figtoberfest, & GABF.
Communication & Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for event inquiries, partnerships, and bookings.
- Maintain internal event calendars, agendas, and communication to ensure operational clarity.
- Collaborate with marketing to supply event info, promotional needs, and post-event recaps.
Operational & Administrative Duties
- Manage event budgets, expense tracking, and invoice coordination.
- Submit event details, layouts, and requirements to operations teams in a timely manner.
- Ensure events follow ABC guidelines, safety procedures, and company policies.
Leadership & Team Support
- Support event staff and taproom teams during setup, service, and breakdown.
- Provide coaching and guidance to ensure smooth event execution and guest satisfaction.
- Represent Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. with professionalism and enthusiasm at all times.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in event management, hospitality, or related field.
- Must possess a valid California driver's license, maintain a clean driving record, and be insurable under the company's auto insurance policy.
- Strong project management and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays depending on event schedule.
- Comfortable working in a brewery environment and collaborating with all departments.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet during events.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of craft beer and the brewing industry.
- Experience with event scheduling platforms, Excel, and basic budgeting tools.
- Creative event concepting and strong problem-solving ability
