Type: Long term contract
CLIENT MAX RATE IS $50/hr on C2C (ALL INC)
MUST NEED ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATE (ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATE)
Candidate will be required to follow the Hybrid schedule day 1 onsite (Tues. Wed & Thurs).
Interview process will be 2 rounds, one virtual and the second is onsite.
- 1st round – Video call interview
- 2nd round – In person interview (Face to face interview)

- The Network Domain refers to the area within Information Technology that focuses on the design, implementation, management, and maintenance of an organization's networking infrastructure. This domain encompasses various activities, tools, and technologies required to ensure the efficient and secure transmission of data between devices, systems, and locations. The scope includes WAN, LAN, Firewalls, Akamai, LTM's and GTM's.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Write/engineer network device configuration scripts with associated change documentation to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Implement network changes during appropriate change windows (after hours)
- Review and provide feedback on change documentation/engineering of other engineers.
- Establish processes to test applications and devices before planned network deployment to quantify their performance and recommend steps to ensure they are optimized.
- Serve as second-tier support for network operations team when needed.
- Participate in on-call support escalation rotation
- Translate business needs into actionable deliverables.
- Manage small/medium internal data network projects.
- Create detailed network designs that meet the customer requirements (including physical and logical) of complex network systems to meet the functional objectives of the business.
- Serve as a technical resource providing guidance and advice to associates on data, voice, and mobile network capabilities for utilizing the full capability of technology in designing effective solutions
Additional details on tasks:
- Install, configure, and manage a highly available and scalable datacenter and cloud networks.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust firewall infrastructure to protect the organization from external and internal threats.
- Monitor firewall performance and manage configuration changes to ensure the security and stability of the network.
- EOSL projects for datacenter switches and firewalls.
- Configure and manage Azure networking components such as Virtual Network, Load Balancer, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, and NSG.
- Manage and configure firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet) for optimal performance and security.
- Transforms the organization by leveraging and enabling automation, orchestration, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Serves as an advocate for business stakeholders into IT and helps evangelize the role of network engineering technology back to the business
- Presents innovate forward thinking concepts and technology to improve business processes
- Contributes to our positive, team-oriented culture by developing and maintaining cooperative relationships, facilitating the resolution of conflicts, and accepting and providing constructive feedback

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- experience in a highly technical professional environment
- experience in a Network environment working with route switch, firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS
- experience in Microsoft Azure or AWS/Oracle/IBM networking technologies.
- Senior Level experience with Data Center infrastructure solutions: VPN, Cisco (Route and Switch), Palo Alto firewalls.
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- Airline Industry experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- CCNP – Security, DC, Routing, Switching, CCIE, PCNSE (Palo Alto)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert is desired.
- Proven ability to build, cultivate, and promote strong relationships with internal customers at all levels of the organization, as well as with IT counterparts, business partners, and external groups.
- Ability to deploy and execute datacenter and cloud network technologies; firewall technologies, intrusion detection/prevention, micro-segmentation, and software defined network, and software defined WAN.
- Hands on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Nexus switches.
- Hands on experience in Cloud Networking for Azure and AWS.
- Extensive experience with Data Center infrastructure solutions: Cisco (Route and Switch), Palo Alto (FW + IDS/IPS functions), Cisco VPN and Zscaler VPN
