Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator with 3–5 years of estimating experience to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and supporting successful project execution from preconstruction through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors ensuring accuracy and alignment with project scope and client needs.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to assess scope and risks
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and clients during preconstruction
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
• Maintain historical cost data and pricing databases
• Assist with change order pricing and budget updates as needed
• Visit sites and pre-bid meetings (when needed) to understand logistics
• Perform other related duties as needed to support project success and company objectives.
• Review and maintain unit rates based on history of self-performed projects

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in construction estimating (experience estimating for a self-performing GC is preferred)
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Proficiency with estimating software a plus
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet deadlines
