Own reliability in the field

We're seeking a seasoned field technician who lives at the intersection of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and controls—and thrives on making complex production assets run like clockwork.

Your impact
  • Break/Fix and PM at an expert level, executed independently and to industry standards.
  • Root-cause analysis: observe equipment in operation, isolate issues, disassemble/reassemble, adjust instruments and controls, and verify performance with electrical/mechanical testing.
  • Machine tool reconditioning and repair, as needed.
  • Parts and supplies: identify, source, and select cost- and reliability-optimized options.
  • Partner with customers to refine maintenance, reliability, and preventative routines.
  • Occasional machining and welding: lathe, drill press, grinder, and related metalworking tools.
  • Documentation: detailed service reports, system entries, and written narratives of observations and performance data.
  • Advanced controls troubleshooting: diagnose software, hardware, and configuration issues.
  • Leverage advanced maintenance tech to collect data, trend performance, and recommend actions.
  • Mentor junior techs; contribute expertise to project teams and training initiatives.
  • Comply with all site rules: codes of conduct, housekeeping standards, and safety procedures.
Must-haves
  • HS diploma/GED. Associate degree (technical) with 10+ years in industry, or 12+ years industry experience.
  • Comprehensive systems knowledge (electrical, mechanical, fluid power, controls) with strong analytical and repair capability.
  • Proficiency with standard and specialized tools.
  • Willingness for extensive local/regional travel.
Nice-to-haves
  • Condition-based maintenance, precision alignment, and process equipment expertise.
  • PLC/field device troubleshooting; electrical drives and motor systems maintenance.

Work conditions

Regularly on your feet and moving—standing, walking, reaching, and handling tools; climbing ladders or lifts; balancing at height; and maneuvering in confined spaces by stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. You'll also need to speak and hear clearly in loud areas, with occasional seated work. Be prepared to lift and move more than 50 lbs at times. Close and color vision are frequently required. Expect occasional outdoor exposure and potential electrical shock hazards. Factory environments are typically very loud and can include hazardous materials and slick/greasy floors.
