Line Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in fine dining or restaurant environments. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a memorable dining experience for our guests through exceptional meal presentation and service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and freshness
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
• Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including food handling and storage
• Support kitchen staff in meal preparation, plating, and presentation
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and cooking appliances
• Assist with catering events and special menu requests as needed
• Ensure timely delivery of dishes during service hours, maintaining consistency and quality
• Collaborate with team members to uphold a positive work environment

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings; culinary experience preferred
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of food handling safety protocols
• Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations
• Knowledge of food industry standards, including food safety regulations and sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
• Fine dining experience or catering background is desirable but not mandatory

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week

License/Certification:

• Food Handler Certification (Preferred)
