Responsibilities

• Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to deliver freight to various locations within your designated area
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
• Plan efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety guidelines
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
• Assist with offloading freight from trucks using manual or mechanical means as required

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with endorsements suitable for operating tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers
• Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations
• Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and various trailer types such as flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks
• Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment when necessary
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards for commercial driving
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record preferred
• Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and perform vehicle inspections
