About the Role:

We are seeking an Electrical Designer to join our team and support building system upgrade projects for healthcare and institutional facilities. This role focuses on low-voltage electrical design and power system studies using industry-standard tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop electrical design drawings, one-line diagrams, and panel schedules for building power systems.
• Perform arc flash analysis, short circuit studies, and protective device coordination using SKM Power Tools.
• Assist in electrical system upgrades and ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and healthcare facility standards.
• Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to integrate electrical systems into overall building design.
• Prepare documentation for construction, including cable schedules and equipment layouts.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2+ years in electrical design for building systems (healthcare or institutional preferred).
• Technical Skills:Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit for electrical layouts.
• Familiarity with SKM Power Tools (or ETAP/EasyPower) for power system modeling.
• Knowledge of arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies.
• Education: Associate degree or technical training in electrical design (Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering a plus but not required).
• Understanding of low-voltage systems (480V, 208V) and emergency power systems (generators, ATS).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively.

Preferred Experience:

• Projects involving hospitals, VA facilities, or healthcare buildings.
• Exposure to fire alarm, life safety, and nurse call systems.
