Kitchen Team Member

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food preparation, kitchen operations, and providing excellent food service. The Kitchen Team Member will support meal preparation, food safety, and overall kitchen efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with experience in dietary departments, catering, or restaurant settings will find this position aligns well with their skills and career goals.

Duties

• Assist in menu planning and meal preparation to ensure timely service
• Prepare ingredients and cook food items according to established recipes and safety standards
• Handle food safely, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
• Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, mixers, and ovens with proficiency and safety awareness
• Support food presentation and plating for serving staff or direct customer service
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
• Assist with catering events or special meal services as needed
• Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner
• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment

Experience

• Prior experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, restaurant worker, or catering assistant is highly desirable
• Knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety standards, and sanitation practices is essential
• Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary skills including knife skills is preferred
• Background in dietary departments or food service environments demonstrates a strong foundation for this role
• Familiarity with food industry equipment and kitchen operations will be advantageous
• Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting or culinary environment is a plus
