About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support our Portfolio Project Manager and broader project management function. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate project records, tracking task status, updating project boards in , and supporting day-to-day coordination activities that keep projects moving forward in scope and under budget.
The Project Coordinator serves as a central point of contact for project logistics, documentation, and communication, helping ensure timelines are met, priorities are visible, and team members have the information they need to execute effectively. This role (NC-only) includes occasional in-person engagement for training, client meetings, or office collaboration, but is mainly work from home. Potential for full-time employment and growth opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Project Tracking & Coordination
- Maintain and update project boards in , including task status, dependencies, deadlines, and ownership
Scheduling & Logistics
- Maintain project calendars and timelines
- Coordinate internal meetings, check-ins, and milestone reviews
- Track action items and follow up with team members as needed
Documentation & Reporting
- Create, organize, and maintain project documentation, plans, and status reports
- Ensure documentation is stored consistently and follows established standards
- Assist with preparation of project summaries and updates for internal stakeholders
Communication & Liaison Support
- Act as a coordination point between internal teams, project managers, and external vendors or clients (as appropriate)
- Distribute project updates and ensure clear, timely communication
- Support consistent information flow across teams
Budget & Administrative Support
- Assist with tracking project expenses and budgets
- Support invoice processing, purchase orders, or vendor documentation as needed
- Help maintain basic financial tracking related to project activity
- Monitor project progress and flag risks, delays, or missing information to the Portfolio Project Manager
- Ensure tasks and milestones are accurately reflected and kept current across active projects
What We're Looking For
Required
- 1–3 years of experience in an administrative, operations, or project support role
- Hands-on experience using or similar project management tools
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to track multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and follow-through
Preferred
- Prior experience supporting a Project Manager or PMO
- Familiarity with project documentation and reporting
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
