Landscape Foreman

Overview

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Landscape Foreman / Project Manager to lead our landscaping team in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with practical, physical experience in landscaping, lawn care, and horticulture.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to oversee projects from conception to completion while ensuring high-quality standards, safety compliance, and crew accountability. You will supervise daily operations, perform hands-on labor alongside the crew, and occasionally complete entire projects independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily landscaping projects with a crew of 2–3 core team members and occasional subcontractors
• Perform hands-on labor alongside the crew, including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, construction, irrigation installation, and tree care
• Run jobs independently when crew members are unavailable
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality outcomes
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized job site
• Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and industry standards
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and deliver tailored landscape solutions
• Monitor project progress and report completion status to management
• Train new crew members and enforce team standards

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, lawn care, construction, tree care, irrigation, gardening, or horticulture
• Prior supervising or leadership experience in a landscaping or construction environment
• Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and equipment operation
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage, and coach a crew effectively
• Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
• Valid driver's license mandatory
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
